Background:
The Orthopaedic Research Institute is a multidisciplinary purpose-designed 800mē research facility housed within a new Research and Education Building on the St George Hospital Campus. The ORI has physical and intellectual expertise in cell biology and immunochemistry, molecular biology including microarray and gene therapy, biomechanics and clinical outcomes research, and access to animal facilities. We have interests in frozen shoulder, tendon and bone injury.
Essential Criteria:

Honours or medical degree

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Word processing, spreadsheet skills

Laboratory experience
Desirable Criteria:

Publication record

Experience as a clinician and/or scientist

Independent thinking

Interest in career in academic orthopaedic surgery, sports medicine or musculoskeletal research

Interest in molecular biochemistry

Animal research experience
