Postdoctoral and PhD Students
Orthopaedic Research Institute
University of New South Wales
St George Hospital Campus
Sydney, Australia
Applications are invited for postdoctoral candidates and PhD candidates, who have independently obtained their own fellowship funding, to have the opportunity to conduct molecular biology research into orthopaedics, including gene therapy and the regulation of gene expression.
Our Institute has excellent clinical and basic research facilities, with around 40 scientists and clinicians, located on the St George Hospital campus of the University of New South Wales.
We are enlarging our research efforts into the molecular bases for orthopaedic disorders and wound healing. The Orthopaedic Research Institute's laboratories are well-equipped and offer scientists the opportunity to participate in an energetic multidisciplinary group, dealing with a range of basic and clinically oriented research. We have particular interests in shoulder disorders, tendon and fracture healing, nitric oxide metabolism, using gene therapy and microarray techniques.
The candidates should have good English language skills and knowledge of and experience in basic molecular biology techniques. Applicants should include a detailed Curriculum Vitae, undergraduate and postgraduate academic results, and the names of three scientists who can evaluate their accomplishments as well as potential.
Applications should be sent by fax, email or postal mail to:
